About the Role

As the MEP Superintendent, your primary focus will be on managing and overseeing high-end renovations and construction projects, ensuring that they meet the highest standards of quality, client satisfaction, and profitability. You will play a critical role in ensuring the success of these projects, and your expertise and leadership will be invaluable in achieving our goals.

Requirements

Responsibilities include:


  • Oversight of electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems

  • This requires effective management of all staff assigned to the project, as well as robust relationships among the project owner, owner's tenants, and all professional groups involved.

  • The timely and accurate completion of all documentation and administrative aspects relating to project management execution is paramount.

  • This includes overseeing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing trades and coordination, as well as monitoring schedules and spending.

  • In addition, careful review of project reports for accuracy, the provision of status and financial reports and project schedules, and the performance of final reviews of construction projects are critical.

  • This includes bid reviews, bid procedures, vendor and subcontractor qualifications, final estimates, labor and materials takeoffs.

  • Further responsibilities include reviewing subcontractor and vendor invoices, approving them for payment or negotiating changes, preparing and submitting change orders for approval by clients and the director of operations, and ensuring that subcontractors are advised of all change orders.

  • The preparation of all close-out documentation, including warranty information, affidavits, and record drawings, is also part of the role.

  • Finally, the successful candidate should ensure that final payments are received from clients and that appropriate invoices are paid to subcontractors.


 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Construction Science is preferred

  • 10-15 years in commercial at-risk construction management ire required

  • Major/large-scale/heavy MEP project experience is required

  • Data Center Projects are highly preferred

  • Experience with BIM / Navisworks / BIM Glue / Revit or equivalent expected
